Ryan O’Reilly looking to hit it big with new contract, Cal O’Reilly hoping to get a place to stay

Although younger brother Ryan O’Reilly is front and center in the news lately due to his contract situation with the Avalanche, Cal O’Reilly is hoping he can get some attention himself.

“I really need a place to live in Utica next year. I won’t lie, I played there last year and I usually just snuck back into the arena after the game and slept in the locker room. A man can learn a lot about himself in an empty arena….”

When asked why not simply ask his brother for some money, Cal was blunt.

“I can’t afford a phone, even if I wanted to ask him. Seriously, things took a real bad turn for me last year. I listened to Thomas Vanek, I made a couple of bets, and now here I am. Nobody loves Cal. Everybody loves Ryan.”

Cal then proceeded to kick a rock down a dirt path, shoulders hunched over.
